Customized Training for New & Expanding Industry

Customized training is provided by the State of North Carolina via the local community college or technical institute. This program will substantially reduce a company's occupational skills and training costs. These programs can absorb the cost of training and subsidize instructors' salaries at up to $20/hr. as well as furnish facilities to house the skills training which a company requires for its production/manufacturing operations.

On-the-Job-Training (OJT):

Local agencies such as the Employment Security Commission can offer 50% wage subsidies for on-the-job training of specific groups such as veterans and dislocated workers.

Job Opportunities and Basic Skills Program (JOBS):

Provides on-the-job training (OJT) for companies who hire and train eligible employees. Recruitment and selection services also furnished via cooperation with ESC and Wake Technical Community College.
