Water
The Cary/Apex water treatment facility serves the citizens of Cary and Apex as well as
sells water to Morresville, Raleigh Durham International Airport, and Research Triangle
Park South. It currently has a design capacity of 16 MGD (millions gallons daily).
Wastewater
Cary operates 2 wastewater reclamation facilities. Both use extended aeration and
activated sludge processing. The South facility has a design capacity of 10.0 MGD with an
average flow of 3.292 MGD. The North facility has a 12.8 MGD design capacity with an
average flow of 5.542 MGD.
Property Tax
Cary's property tax is 54 cents per $100 assessed valuation Wake County's
property tax is 76 cents per $100 assessed valuation
