Intercity Visit 2004

Scottsdale, Arizona

Dear Chamber Members:

The Economic Development Committee of the Cary Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 5th Intercity Visit on March 25 - 28, 2004. Delegates from the Cary Chamber will venture to the Valley of the Sun, which includes Mesa and Tempe, with base location, Scottsdale, Arizona, to learn about the cities and bring back ideas for Cary to implement as we continue to improve upon our infrastructure and quality of life.

There are a number of similarities between our cities that have drawn our attention to Scottsdale. Cary has become a premier spot for amateur sport venues. Preliminary plans include tours of Scottsdale's state of the art aquatics center and baseball facilities. As enhancement of culture and improvement of quality of life remain top priorities, visits to a number of cultural arts and recreation venues are being planned.

As in each of the first four visits, several issues are to be visited on the trip. We'll focus on government, infrastructure growth and restrictions, various business related issues and as mentioned above, recreational & cultural facilities. This looks to be the most informative yet entertaining Intercity Visit yet.

A number of elected officials, community and business leaders make this biannual trip and it is a necessity to have your input as we gather and bring home this valuable information. Mark your calendars for March 25-28 for the most important networking trip in 2004 and look for a complete detailed agenda after the holidays.

For more information about Intercity Visit 2004, contact Howard Johnson or Mary Heath at the Cary Chamber of Commerce at 467-1016. Please fill out the attached registration form and fax to (919) 469-2375.

Best regards,
