Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice’s Raleigh office recently held a contest to raise money and collect food for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. The contest raised almost $3,000 and resulted in the collection of over 150 pounds of food. Womble Carlyle has run such internal “food-raisers” twice yearly for several years now. The next contest will be “Pie in July”, when employees will compete in a pie contest.
Wake Tech gives Students a Jump Start - Western Wake Campus Offers New Summer Program. High school graduates who want to get a jump start on their college careers can begin taking classes this summer at Wake Tech’s Western Wake Campus in Cary. “Jump Start” is an intensive, six-week program that includes the classes most needed by new students in two-year associate degree programs. The Carolinas Credit Union Foundation (CCUF) is pleased to
announce it is awarding a $15,000 Micro Community Grant to
the Lucy Daniels Center for Early Childhood
to fund the Lucy’s Book Club Program. The Lucy Daniels

providing mental health services exclusively to children in
